This is a picture of me going to one of three job interviews down on Wall Street, New York. That’s the NY Stock Exchange just behind me. I’ve been looking for work for the last 9 months because of pending lay offs at my bank. But last week, by God’s grace, I found a position within my present company with only two weeks to go before being laid off! I am so grateful that I was spared from being without a job. Since it’s a long commute I’ll take the train into work – which has it’s up sides and down sides. The down side is that it lenghens my commute to work (about 1.5 hours one way) – so I’ll have less time with the family. The upside is that I’ll have all that free time on the train to read and study. Yeah I would rather spend the time with family – but Lord willing in time I find something on the other side of the Hudson. Right now I’m just happy to have a job!

This memorial day weekend
This memorial day weekend we had the honor in marching in a parade and thereby showing our respect for those that have defended our nation. We marched as color guards with our bagpipe band, in Morris Plains. Monique and I carried flags and Elizabeth helped care the band’s banner. Elizabeth was worried that she could not make the trip - it was over a mile – but she had no problem in making it. We had a great time look forward to our next parade! -
Happy Birthday in Irish
On my mother’s 70th birthday I found the words for Happy Birthday in Irish and made handouts at her Birthday celebration. It was fun. Here are the words if you interested.
