Yesterday my wife called me on my cell about the weather (e.g. tornado warnings) – but I showed up hoping they were going to have the 5K race anyway.   

                                       
I was soaked to the bone and about 30 minutes before the race they called it off.   I was really looking forward to this race.  My brother Pat from California was going to meet me at the race – but sadly I did not *run* into him.  

Looks we will have to find another race.   If all else fails there is always the Labor Day – 5K race in Verona, NJ.  

Well this 4th of July Elizabeth and Megan ran in the 1 mile fun run, and I ran in the 5K race in Milltown, New Jersey.

Me with my two champions!  My time for the 5K was ok (28 minutes, 40 seconds) which was better then my last 5K race 10 years ago.   I wasn’t planning on running in this race – but I figured I might as well do so in preparation for the one on the 23rd.

Megan was quite tired by the end of the day.
