Greetings Fellow Bloggers!
This is my first blog entry, so I thought I would explain why I am started this blog. I am a web programmer by traded and thus I attempt to be familiar with the latest trends on the web (e.g. blogging). I am also a old fashioned Presbyterian that finds the Holy Bible in agreement with the 1647 Westminster Confession of Faith. So what I will be posting, will be an attempt to encourage readers of this blog of the truth of scriptures as the only rule of life and faith.
A little about me…
- I am a husband to Jennifer and daddy to three daughters.
- I am a seminary student that is under care to be a minister and also a ruling elder of a Presbyterian Church in Northern New Jersey.
- As I have already have stated I am a web programmer and work for the same employer for the last thirteen years.
- I like to run and sometimes take part of short distance races (e.g. 5k).
- I manage two websites and an email discussion group.

Today in History’s Past….. (May 27th)

John Calvin, b. July 10, 1509, d. May 27, 1564
It was 441 years ago today that John Calvin died in Geneva, Switzerland. John Calvin was a sixteenth century Reformer of the Protestant Reformation, and is the father of Presbyterian and Reformed churches today. His book entitled “Institutes of the Christian Religion” was his main work on Reformed theology. It was first published in Latin in 1536, and later in French in 1541, which were followed by later editions. John Calvin died in Geneva on May 27, 1507 and by his own request, was buried in a simple unmarked grave somewhere in Geneva.
Note: If you have not read the Institutes, I would very much encourage you to do so.
